It was Valentine’s Day 1978.
She was in 3rd grade.
She thought she had the coolest Valentine’s Box ever. A pig made from a coffee can! Ingenious!
She thought that turtleneck shirt was really cool, too.
But she wasn't so sure she liked her straight, shiny, wedged Dorothy Hamill-style hairdo.
Thank God she turned into a relatively well-adjusted adult.
...and that she got braces.
