Las Vegas

Last week, my manager, Val, and I attended a Trauma and Critical Care conference in Vegas. The conference was very interesting and we had a blast during our "off time". My highlights of the trip were seeing the Blue Man Group (this picture really freaks out my kids), staying a a free-upgraded hotel room at Caesar's Palace, and winning $72 on the Roulette wheel minutes before our shuttle left for the airport (that's a lot coming from a chronically unlucky non-gambler).

"Mom, can we get a dog? Pleeeeeze..."

Madison tried to pass-off this stuffed dog as a pet to display on the "students and their pets" bulletin board at school. I'm afraid this is as close as the Gallagher family is going to get to a real live animal in the house! Sorry, Maddie...

First Grade Art Fair

The kids had an Art Fair at the Primary School a few weeks ago. The theme this year was "Butterflys, Caterpillars, and Turtles". We spent several hours making their creations and they turned out really cute! At the Fair, they got to make sand-art, walk through the exhibit displays which included their projects, and play some Bingo.

Finished sand art (notice Bill on clean-up duty in the background!)

Will and his turtle. He worked really hard on his turtle and "cage"...he's a pretty creative guy!

Trying our hand at a little BINGO in the lunch room!

Madison and her caterpillar project...very cool!

Hard at work!

Madison loves to help out on the basement project when and wherever she can! Maybe she'll love to paint as much as her mom!?!
